Bi-Path Neural Prosthetic Arm
Able to Receive and Act Upon EMG and Give Feedback to the Human Body
Patent Number: 202222434316.4
A world where disabled people can lead their lives with as much ease as able-bodied people
Composed of three patents: Touch Sense Projection Map, Bi-Path Neural Prosthetic Arm, and Artificial Ligament Prosthetic
Artificial Ligament Prosthetic Patent Number: 202211114904.8
Developed two theoretical paths in my powered prosthetic arm: one from human to machine, where the prosthetic arm reads EMG signals from a patient’s limbs to determine motor function; and the other from machine to human, where the arm sends the sense of touch from its artificial skin to the human body through the Touch Sense Project Map
Created PCB for general sensor system layout and arm muscle motor system, and created 3D construction models through SolidWorks and Shapr3D for my prosthetic arm
Compared to the market with an average price of $10,000 for a similar prosthetic arm, my product is a more affordable solution, with human skin appearance, motor and sensory function, where no other products currently can achieve the same functionality without any open cut surgery
